RESPIRE
RESPIRE is the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) Global Health Research Unit at the University of Edinburgh that was funded as part of the NIHR Global Health Research Programme in 2016/2017. RESPIRE focuses on respiratory health and RESPIRE collaboration spans across Asia with organisations in Bangladesh, India, Malaysia and Pakistan. Department of Primary Care Medicine, University of Malaya is one of the main RESPIRE collaborators. There are 10 projects ranging from pilot studies, systematic reviews, scoping studies, evidence syntheses and health economics analyses to examine various aspects of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
